Vacek, Kiecke & Currier, LLP is a long time Austin area law firm. Four of our attorneys are Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Estate Planning and Probate Law. In addition, all 5 of our attorneys are also Certified Public Accountants (CPAs). In addition, non-attorney CPAs also assist in our tax practice.
The firm was founded in 1951 by Robert Mueller, an Austin tax attorney and the son of Robert Mueller, the former City Councilman for whom the old Austin airport is named after. Although Mr. Mueller passed away in 1988, the firm is still guided by the values he instilled in the members of the firm he founded: dedication and responsiveness to the clients' needs being foremost.
Having several attorneys with similar qualifications and backgrounds allow our firm to offer our clients several unique background. First, even if your attorney is out of the office or on vacation, there will be others qualified to help you on a timely basis.
Second, while we help with the succession planning for our clients with family owned businesses, we also practice our own succession planning. The firm has been in existence since 1951. As a result, we are currently representing the children and grandchildren of some of the firm's original clients. By having qualified attorneys or differing ages, we can assure our clients that the firm can still help with their estate planning and help their children and grandchildren with the administration of their estates and trusts, even if our clients' original attorney retires or passes away.
While our attorneys' qualifications leave them uniquely qualified to handle clients' matters in the areas of Estate Planning, Probate, Trust Administration and Tax law, we also practice in other related areas, including general business law, some litigation and real estate.
Most of our clients are from Austin, but we also have clients in Round Rock, Georgetown, San Antonio, Houston, Dallas/Fort Worth, Bryan/College Station, Brenham, Kerrville, Fredericksburg, Taylor and other cities and town throughout Texas.
